Thank you once again for signing up and reading The Kevmath Report. I turned another year older over the weekend and am grateful for all of the well wishes and HBD messages on social media.

Masks Off for the WSOP

The top story of the past week happened just after last week’s newsletter deadline when the World Series of Poker announced that players may take off their mask, face covering, shield, or Darth Vader helmet when seated at the poker table. Players will still need to have a mask with them as it must be worn while moving tables or any other times they’re not at the table. Executive Director of the WSOP Ty Stewart elaborated further on the optional mask option for players with PocketFives later that afternoon. In the interview with Jeff Walsh, Stewart noted that dealers, whether they have been vaccinated or not, will be wearing a mask at all times.

Plenty of live final table streams coming up for the 2021 World Series of Poker as PokerGO plans to stream 25 events exclusively on the service. Several of these final tables will appear in edited form on CBS Sports in the coming months. United States Poker Championship in San Diego

If you watched enough televised tournament poker, you may remember the United States Poker Championship when it aired on ESPN in the 2000s’ from the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. The Trump Taj no longer exists, but the USPC is BACK as part of the Mid-States Poker Tour at San Diego’s Sycuan Resort, running from September 16-26, featuring a $1,110 Main Event with the guaranteed prize pool at $300,000.
